Meat Maker Mutts – Hatching Eggs🍗🐔❤️
Homestead Meat Maker Hatching Eggs: Bresse & Naked Neck Cross
My meat bird journey didn’t stop at pure American Bresse. Once I saw the difference an ethical, pasture-raised bird made on the homestead, I wanted to experiment with creating the ultimate, rugged meat producer. Enter our custom meat-maker pen: the Meat Maker Mutts project.
This specialized breeding pen features a premium American Bresse rooster covering a mixed flock of hearty Naked Neck (Turken) hens and pure American Bresse hens. If you are looking to stock your freezer with healthy, unique, and incredibly delicious birds, this is the perfect hatch for you.
Why Choose This Homestead Mix?
-
The "Homestead Surprise": Every egg is a fun roll of the dice! Because of the mixed pen, your hatch will yield a combination of pure American Bresse chicks and robust Bresse/Naked Neck crosses.
-
The Best of Both Worlds: By crossing the "Ferrari of meat birds" with the Naked Neck, you get the gourmet marbling and rich flavor of the Bresse combined with the heavy, plump meat production of the Turken.
-
Processing Made Easy: Naked Necks carry roughly half the feathers of a standard chicken. Passing these genetics down means much easier, faster plucking come processing day.
-
Incredible Heat Tolerance: If your homestead gets hot in the summer, Naked Neck genetics are a game-changer. The lack of neck feathers helps them regulate their body temperature, keeping them active and foraging when other breeds are panting in the shade.
-
Hybrid Vigor: Mixing two strong, established breeds often results in highly robust, fast-growing chicks that are incredibly hardy on pasture.
Shipping & Hatching Disclaimer: We take immense pride in our packaging and do everything in our power to ensure your eggs arrive safely. Each egg is individually wrapped and securely cushioned to protect it during transit. Hatching eggs are shipped fresh and unwashed to preserve their natural bloom. We regularly check our flock's fertility; however, due to the unpredictable nature of postal handling, temperature fluctuations during shipping, and individual incubation practices, we cannot guarantee your final hatch rate. We do guarantee that you are receiving fresh eggs packed with care! Please let eggs rest point-down for 12-24 hours before incubating. All orders are shipped with USPS Priority Express. If your order arrived damaged, you MUST contact me within 12 hours of delivery in order to process claims.
